I want to photograph any person who has ever felt "not good enough".

The people you see in my portfolio are not professional models – they are people just like you and me, who chose to create a legacy with beautiful portraits. Many of them struggled with insecurities – probably even some of the same insecurities you feel: “not the right age, not the right weight, I can’t pose, I’m not photogenic, I feel awkward, I don’t like pictures of me" .......my mom felt that way too.....

My mom died when I was only 11 years old. So it would be no wonder that I don't have a lot of photos of her and me...but the reality is that I don’t have even one photo of just her and me. And what I wouldn't give for just one.

I’m going to show you how to be wonderfully in love with the phenomenal human being that you are – even if you think you can’t remember who that is right now. The name Choke Cherry is used in memory of my parents; they were vintners of a variety of wines, with the most popular being chokecherry. Back in the days of citizen's band radio my father went by the handle "Bootlegger" and my mother was known as "Chokecherry".
