About Rent My Closet:

Rent My Closet started out as the studio style closet for Choke Cherry Photography, allowing women access to gorgeously curated gowns for their portrait sessions. While the hoarding of gowns and shoes started in 2016, Rent My Closet officially began in 2019 offering dress rentals for local special events at HUGE discounts. The closet grows almost daily - currently with over 300 dresses ranging in sizes 00 to 26 and over 100 accessories. And if we don't have something you love, we'll special order it just for you!

How it Works:

Rent It

Get designer looks at up to 80% off retail.

Rock It

From date nights, to gala events, to pageants!

Return It

After your event, drop the dress back off. That's it! We handle the cleaning.

Set up a personalized consultation; we suggest to set up your consultation about a month in advance of your event. This allows us to custom-order or custom-size a dress to your exact needs. We'll start with measurements and you'll get to pull any dresses that appeal to you. Note that while we do have over 300 dresses, that they range from size 00-26 and there may only be a small selection in your exact size. If we don't have what you love, we'll special order something that you do, in your size, at no extra cost to you. We'll reserve your dress exclusively for your event - if we happen to have the same dress in another colour or size, we won't let it get rented for your same event! Rentals rates are for 5 days to give you plenty of time to accessorize. No special cleaning required - we take care of it all! Have some dresses you don't love anymore? You can donate to the closet in exchange for free rentals!

How long is the rental period?

A.5 days starting from the day you pick up your item(s) to the day you return them.

How are the rentals cleaned between each client?

A.The delicate dresses are spot-treated, dry cleaned, and then steamed to disinfect. Less delicate dresses are washed in hot water with a phenolic disinfectant. Shoes are sprayed with a phenolic disinfectant or bleach and wiped clean. Jewelry is wiped down with a phenolic disinfectant.

What if I damage the rental?

A.Normal wear is expected and damage fees will not be charged unless the dress is returned with prominent stains or other irreversible damage(s).

How much does it cost?

A.Rental rates vary per dress and are calculated at 15%-20% of their retail price. Accessories range from $3 to $5.

Do you require a deposit?

A.A security deposit of $50-$100 (depending on the dress) is due before rental is reserved. This deposit is 100% refundable when the rental is returned in an acceptable condition.
